Delta paws is so happy to report that after months in foster care, Bella Rose has found her forever home! Bella Rose is pictured here with her new family, Sharon and daughter, Deanna who just lost their dog, Scooby Doo, just a few weeks ago after a long life together. Bella's road with Delta PAWS has been a long and complicated one. Bella began at the local Shelter, suffering severe ear infections from a home ear crop when she was only 6 months old. Bella stayed in foster care almost 4 months before being placed with a wonderful family from Brentwood. She was happy and content until circumstances and an economy beyond their control, forced them to move and give up the things they loved most, their beutiful home and their loving companion, Bella Rose. Bella Rose came back to Delta Paws 7 months ago and waited patiently for someone to adopt her and give her another loving home. That day finally came yesterday when Sharon and her daughter stopped in to get food for their other dog and took a quick peek at Delta paws assortment of adoptable pets. With one look, they knew that she had found her forever home. Thank you to the Dyson family and to each and every family this weekend who either adopted an animal or just came by to drop a donation in our jar and a kiss on a puppy or kitty nose. We so appreciate everyone in our community who help us continue our rescue efforts with your donations, kindness and support!!! Sincerely, The entire team of Delta PAWS Animal Rescue.

Thank you from Delta Paws for a wonderful year to each and every family that gave a new forever home to one of our special animals. Through your wonderful adoptions and time given, over 180 homes were found for abandoned pets in the year 2009 through Delta Paws Animal Rescue. There are no truly accurate statistics for the number of homeless pets in america, we may know how many are in shelters but we cannot fathom how many others are in the shawdows abandoned, homeless, scared, sick or frightened.

We do know that every year just in the USA, over 4 million animals are euthanized as unwanted and the number is growing each year. The number of adoptions through Delta Paws seems to be a drop in a bucket compared to such a big number, but every pet that has found a new home through our adoptions is one less that has to struggle for their life. Each adoption made this year through our organization has matched a new forever home to a pet that just wants to be loved and to give love. Each family that adopted this year has found a special love in their world for a special companion that only wanted to be part of a family. We thank each and every one of you that has made a difference in a pets world this year. Remember....
"One little adoption won't change the world, but one little adoption will change a pets world forever!"

Thank you to each one that has changed a pets WORLD in 2009!

In 2010, Delta Paws Animal Rescue will continue our ongoing efforts to change the world for animals through adoptions, education, spay and neutering and animal care. We know that our supporters and our volunteers will support our efforts to find as many new forever homes for animals as we possibly can. We know we can't find homes for all of them, but we can change the world for some of them.

We look forward to seeing each of you in the next year and meeting all of our new friedns and supporters! Happy New Year!
